A blood transfusion is a safe and common medical procedure where donated blood is given to a patient through a vein (usually in the arm).

Patient Care

This Hospital Stay Report allows you to report your treatment issues, positive or negative experiences, and other aspects of your hospitalization.

Who We Are

Welcome to The Society for Inherited and Severe Blood Disorders of Trinidad and Tobago.

The Society for Inherited and Severe Blood Disorders Trinidad and Tobago Limited (SISBDTT) is a parent/patient organization that emerged in 1987 out of the Thalassemia Association of Trinidad and Tobago that was formed in 1983.This change took place on the advice of Mr. Karnaluddin Mohammed, the then Minister of Health, who recommended that we incorporate all inherited blood disorders under one umbrella for better recognition by the state.
