Who We Are
Welcome to The Society for Inherited and Severe Blood Disorders of Trinidad and Tobago.
The Society for Inherited and Severe Blood Disorders Trinidad and Tobago Limited (SISBDTT) is a parent/patient organization that emerged in 1987 out of the Thalassemia Association of Trinidad and Tobago that was formed in 1983.This change took place on the advice of Mr. Karnaluddin Mohammed, the then Minister of Health, who recommended that we incorporate all inherited blood disorders under one umbrella for better recognition by the state.

- Founding and voting member of the Thalassemia International Federation (TIF)
- Voting member of the World Federation of Hemophilia(WFH)
- Voting member of the Global Association of Sickle Cell Disease Organizations (GASCDO)
